Çelik Halat was established in Kocaeli on March 23, 1962 with the partnership of Yatırımlar Holding, Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş., Nuri Rodop, Nedim Rodop and Yüksel Kenanoğlu. It is one of the leading companies in the sector in Turkey with a wide range of products such as rope, industrial wire, galvanized industrial wire, patented wire and prestressed concrete bundle.
The company, whose shares started to be traded on the stock exchange in 1986, was transferred to Doğan Holding in 1997. With the KAP statement made on 29 November 2022, Artaş Holding and Beta Trans companies took over Çelik Halat Tel ve San A.Ş from Doğan Holding A.Ş.
Certified as Turkey's first Rope R&D Center since 2018, Çelik Halat serves more than 50 countries in the world including the European and American market, through its head Office in Turkey and its Office in the Netherlands. Certificates held by Çelik Halat with API logo usage permit upon approval by American Petroleum Institute are as follows;
